The Guide/Adam Trick

 
Adam Trick, the newest member of the Canadaway Creek Outfitters team, has been fly fishing for 30 years with the last 20 years focused primarily on Lake Run Steelhead, Salmon and Brown Trout.  Adam brings a unique intensity and passion to the sport of fly fishing.  He is a patient fishing instructor with an exceptional knowledge of fish behavior, the best fly patterns and all mechanics of the sport.  Adam is also known in fishing circles as being “crazy-adventurous”! If you desire extreme outdoor adventure that includes getting up at the crack of dawn, integrating “fusion” fishing techniques and catching large anadramous fish then Adam is your guide. Adam has a unique ability to integrate non-traditional fly-fishing techniques and traditional fishing techniques into your fly-fishing arsenal.  This makes the probability of hooking these extremely large fish in the very difficult upstate New York waters a reality.
Growing up the son of a school teacher and fly fishing instructor has not only given Adam a strong knowledge base of traditional fly fishing techniques but also the unique perspective on how to discover others methods of fishing and then tailor the lesson to the individual. Adam also has a lot of experience using non – traditional techniques like drift fishing and center pin fishing. These varied experiences allow Adam to integrate the best of these techniques into the traditional methods.  Adam is also an excellent fly tier who has tied commercially and is well known for tying unusual but very effective fly patterns. Adam lives in Farmington NY with his wife Salley and two children, Liam and Abaigael.
